Jay Z, Cameron Diaz and Cuba Gooding Involved In Club Raid

Page Six reported that the 3 stars were at a club when police raided. The club named The Box features acts such as scantily clad showgirls, a gender-bending singer and a dancing dwarf. A Dancing Dward? Oh lawd! HILARIOUS!

Cameron Diaz, Jay-Z and Cuba Gooding Jr. were able to flee when police raided the NYC club, The Box, yesterday, reports Page Six.

The club's risqué stage show had to be cancelled when dozens of police officers raided the Chrystie Street popular club yesterday and randomly searched patrons for drugs.

Cameron's current love, John Mayer, was not with Cameron at the time. Mayer was spotted a few blocks away at the Bowery Hotel during the raid.

The "dinner theatre" at The Box is known for its private tables where curtains can be pulled for complete privacy, according to Page Six.
One stunned onlooker told Page Six, "All these cops busted in, and they were searching people. They lined people up near the bathroom and started going through their stuff. Nobody seemed to understand what was going on."

Another witness said, "Pretty close to 3am, a performer got onstage and said, 'I'm sorry. We're getting shut down for the evening. Everyone has to go home.'"
Box owner, Simon Hammerstein is in London, but a rep said: "The marshals came in Friday morning citing the venue for a misprint on the food-handling permit - a clerical error that was overlooked but has since been corrected. The permit has been reissued."
There were no arrests, according to a NYPD spokesperson.
