Seems like Keyshia Cole is everywhere these days. Just the other day Keyshia tore the house down with her rendition of the National Anthem in Indianapolis's for the NFL Kickoff Game! Now on the eve of her Sophomore album release she graces the October cover of Essence Magazine where Keyshia bares her soul. Keyshia holds nothing back in the exclusive interview she talks about her troubled childhood growing up with a drug addicted prostitute Mother, how she use to hang out with Tupac who was a friend of her brother, her life as a member of an all girl group whom she later ditched because as she says,I’d rather be solo because I do everything in the group anyway. They’re just pretty. We were gonna get, like, a $30,000 advance and split it ten/ten/ten; but I figured, "Why should I give them my $20,000 when I can get it myself?" So I told them, “I’m sorry, but I can’t.” Then I recorded a couple songs with Damon and one of them was (the hit single) “Love.” Also Keyshia talks about her friendship with Mary J. Blidge and how shes coping with a recent breakup from her Man, After my ex-boyfriend told me to go on and live my life, I saw him at a place with another girl. I was pissed! I tried to rip her head off. Then he was like, “Dude, you broke up with me.” But that’s just what it is.
